Looks like the
Rolling Stones
have found yet another way to make more
money in a "jumpin'
jack flash". For $50 you can buy
a 3-pack of "Forty Licks Merlot", a new line
of
wine named
after the band's 2002 Greatest Hits
collection. It makes you wonder what could
possibly be next, "Mother's
Little Hamburger Helper"? The
Stones certainly don't need the money,
especially when their last tour
grossed
over half a billion dollars!
And while you're not likely to see any Brian
"Seltzer water" in stores anytime soon, the
former leader of 80s rockabilly band
Stray Cats
is about to "rock
this town" with a
new solo album,
"Songs From Lonely Avenue". Setzer says
he'd love Hollywood filmmaker Quentin
Tarantino to turn the albums' film noir
theme into a major motion picture. However,
with Setzer missing the company of his old
bandmates, he's more likely to be doing the
"stray
cat strut" again in the near
future.
Speaking of cats, you won't see any "walking
in"
Dale Bozzio's
house. The singer for 80's new wave band
Missing Persons
was
charged
with 13 counts of animal cruelty after
authorities found numerous living, sick, and
dead cats in her empty New Hampshire home.
For Bozzio it means having to serve 90 days
in that "destination
known" as jail.
You know, maybe Dale Bozzio should have a
mixed drink named after her, call it "Mental
Hopscotch on the rocks".
