In the 1980's
John Mellencamp
told fans to "R.O.C.K.
In the U.S.A.". These days,
fans are telling the "pop
singer" to kick an old habit
that "hurts
so good". Mellencamp's 14
year old son, Speck, just launched a
social networking campaign on Facebook
and
claims
his father promises to quit smoking if
the group reaches one million members.
You may recall John's world nearly came
"crumblin
down" in 1994 after suffering
a massive heart attack. If the advice of
family and doctors didn't stop him then,
do you really think a Facebook page will
help him "get
a leg up" now?
"With
a little luck",
Paul McCartney
may have a better chance of introducing
"Meat free Mondays" to Europe! This week
was less about "silly
love songs" and more about a
"revolution"
as Paul appeared before European
Parliament
explaining
how skipping meat one day a week helps
the environment. He couldn't explain,
however, how flying his private "jet"
from show to show was also
environmentally friendly.
Maybe singer
Mariah Carey
has the answers, after all, the pop
diva
has a solution for everything else in
her "fantasy"
world. Behind the scenes at a recent UK
television appearance, a member of
Mariah's entourage had to walk backwards
in front of her just in case she fell
over! To protect her dress from getting
crushed, two people lowered her onto a
sofa. She also brought her own toilet
paper and had security for her two Jack
Russell puppies.
You know, just like Mellencamp and
McCartney, Mariah should kick some old
habits of her own. "All
I want for Christmas" is for
Mariah to quit being such a diva, even
if it is just for "one
sweet day".
