After 40 years of "rocking
you like a hurricane" the
Scorpions
are calling it
quits with
a new album called "Sting
In The Tail" and a farewell tour.
The veteran German rockers promise a "big
80s show" complete with giant video screens
and band members hanging, suspended in the
air. So, are the "winds
of change" really blowing or is
this a case of another artist calling it
quits too soon?
Even though
Tina Turner
announced her retirement from touring in
2000, she
wound up doing just that in
2008. And
now, Turner
says she
hasn't ruled out yet another world tour.
Even though she's 70 years old, Tina still
looks "simply
the best" and loves wearing those
racy mini-skirts while performing. And she
probably wouldn't care if any fans show up
at a concert sporting an Ike Turner t-shirt!
Unlike
Axl Rose
who has no "patience"
with fans wearing t-shirts featuring ex-Guns
N' Roses
guitarist
Slash.
At a recent GN'R show in Canada, security
reportedly
told some fans to turn their Slash t-shirts
inside out. While representatives from the
band deny the claim, there's no doubting the
relationship between Axl and Slash is
anything but "paradise
city".
You know, a Guns N' Roses reunion would
sorta be like Conan O'Brien appearing on The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The only
difference is, with Guns N Roses we know who
really
steals the
show.
That's it for Retro News I'm Jenni Waylon
